Sustainability

We try to produce as sustainably as possible to keep our footprint small. Therefore, our letterbox boxes are made of grass paper and tomato leaf pulp is the basic component of the seed bags. The printing is either made of paper that is 30-70% recycled paper or paper that comes from agricultural waste. In addition, you have the option to plant a tree when you place an order through Regreener.

Gifting

Is (part of) your order a gift for someone? Mention it in the comments and we will wrap it nicely for you.

Native

Native plants are native to our country. Plants from here can only be native if they have not been "played with," i.e., they must not have been grown on. Native planting is important for our biodiversity. Insects depend on them.

Along with Geranium pratense, this is the most beautiful native ornamental plant you can have in your garden. We use Salvia pratensis in almost every planting plan we create. A wonderful ornamental in the border, but also a huge attractor for insects. Flowering starts early, which is a big plus, but can also end quite quickly. Clipping back allows for a second bloom.

Pre-sowing February - March
Direct Sowing -
Flowering May - August

Indoor pre-sowing
Pre-sowing can be done in February and March. Do not cover the seeds or with vermiculite, they need light to germinate. Put them in a room at about 18 degrees in a bright spot but away from direct sunlight. Germination takes 1 - 3 weeks. After germination, put cooler and repot to P9 pots if the seedlings is larger than 10 cm. When the plant is well rooted and you can see the roots coming out from underneath, you can put the plant in the ground with 30 cm spacing. Does not always flower the first year, often the plant develops only a leaf rosette at first to flower later. Likes to spread, cut away flowers if you don't want it to.

Direct sowing
Direct sowing is not recommended, but can be done in autumn in moist and well-drained soil in a sunny spot.

About vegetable seeds

All vegetable seeds are annuals, meaning you have to re-sow them every year, except for hardy herbs. Rosemary, thyme, sage and fennel generally survive the winter just fine.

How many hours of sunshine?

Vegetables generally like to grow in full sun. A minimum of 6 hours of sun in summer is a good guide. For annual flowers this is more, there we stick to a minimum of 8 hours of sun per day.

What soil?

Vegetables can basically be grown on any type of soil, but it varies for each type of vegetable how nutritious that soil needs to be. You can find more information about this in the description.

Seediguide

Never seeded before? We'll get you started with a Sowing Guide explaining the basics and supplies.

Storing seeds

On the package of your seeds you will find the shelf life. You can use them until the date you see on it. An opened package is best stored in an airtight box in a cool and dark place, such as a closet in the hallway. Not sure if the germination is still good? Then it's best to buy a new pack. We deliberately choose small amounts of seeds in the packs so you don't have to waste seeds. Do you have any questions about this? Call 033 - 202 43 38 or email to [email protected], and we will help you further.
