Sustainability

We try to produce as sustainably as possible to keep our footprint small. Therefore, our mailbox boxes are made of grass paper and tomato leaf pulp is the basic component of the seed bags. The printing is either made of paper that is 30-70% recycled paper or paper that comes from agricultural waste. In addition, you have the option to plant a tree when you place an order through Regreener.

Basalt is a volcanic igneous rock formed by the solidification of lava. This solidification takes place at the earth's surface, making it rich in minerals.  Basalt meal is very suitable for use as a soil conditioner of clay soil. It breaks up the heavy clay particles making the soil looser and more workable without having to dig it up.

Basalt meal is used in organic farming as a pollen powder to control pests and diseases - the powder forms a layer on the plant that protects against diseases. It contains a high concentration of silica, which is strengthens the plant's natural resistance, lime, magnesium and trace elements.

Basalt meal has the positive property of fixing nitrogen so that it is not as quickly leached out. Basalt meal is also suitable for adding to the compost pile to accelerate the fermentation process.

User Manual
Process 10 kg of basalt meal per 100 m2 per year on normal clay soil. On very heavy clay soil you can keep 15-20 kg per 100 m2 per year.

Reasons to apply basalt meal to clay soil
+ It makes plants and bulbs more resistant to fungi.
+ It loosens clay soil allowing plants to take root better.
+ It promotes water and air balance in the soil preventing plants from standing in wetness.
+ It retains nitrogen allowing plants to absorb it, producing greener and healthier leaves.
