Native plants are native to our country. Plants from here can only be native if they have not been "played with," i.e., they must not have been grown on. Native planting is important for our biodiversity. Insects depend on them.
Yarrow is a native umbellifer that you find everywhere in August on roadsides and roadsides. An important host plant for dozens of species of butterflies, but also a beautiful pick flower that you can eat just as well. An all-rounder that is important in nature!

Indoor pre-seeding
Pre-sow starting in February. Do not cover the seeds, they need light to germinate. Put them in a room at 18 degrees in a bright spot but away from direct sunlight. Keep the soil moist and water only from the bottom of the container. At 2 sets of true leaves, the seedlings can be transplanted. Harden off outside and transplant after the last night frost with a distance of 30 cm.

Sow directly into the soil from April to June when the chance of frost has passed. Cover the seeds with a thin layer of soil. Do not do this during heavy rain or on hot days to prevent the seed from washing away or drying out. Keep the soil moist. Flowering will come the following year.

All vegetable seeds are annuals, meaning you have to re-sow them every year, except for hardy herbs. Rosemary, thyme, sage and fennel generally survive the winter just fine.

Vegetables generally like to grow in full sun. A minimum of 6 hours of sun in summer is a good guide. For annual flowers this is more, there we stick to a minimum of 8 hours of sun per day.

Storing seeds
Storing seeds
On the package of your seeds you will find the shelf life. You can use them until the date you see on it. An opened package is best stored in an airtight box in a cool and dark place, such as a closet in the hallway. Not sure if the germination is still good? Then it's best to buy a new pack.
