Sustainability

We try to produce as sustainably as possible to keep our footprint small. Therefore, our letterbox boxes are made of grass paper and tomato leaf pulp is the basic component of the seed bags. The printing is either made of paper that is 30-70% recycled paper or paper that comes from agricultural waste. In addition, you have the option to plant a tree when you place an order through Regreener.

Gifting

Is (part of) your order a gift for someone? Mention it in the comments and we will wrap it nicely for you.

Organic

This is an organic product from certified organic producers. Among other things, this means that they do not work with pesticides. The control regarding organic products is carried out by the SKAL.

The brilliant white bollard oak is truly a must have, just when you think this flower is old-fashioned. What a beauty. As long as you keep cutting the flowers, lots of new buds will keep growing. You need fewer than you think to fill a square meter, about 15 seeds per square meter will give you an abundance of flowers.

Pre-sowing March - May
Direct sowing April - May
Flowering May
- August

Indoors
Can be sown from mid-March. This seed germinates quickly, so don't start too early and don't sow in a too warm room. Only press the seed, but do not cover it. Keep the soil moist. Prick out to a larger pot as soon as 2 sets of true leaves grow. Harden off outside and transplant after the last night frost with a distance of 20 - 30 cm.

Direct sowing
Sow directly into the ground between April and May. Sowing in summer or autumn can also be done to have earlier flowers the following year. Do not do this during heavy rain or on hot days to prevent the seed from washing away or drying out. Do not cover with soil, just press it a little bit. After germination, thin out to a few seedlings 20 - 30 cm apart.

About vegetable seeds

All vegetable seeds are annuals, meaning you have to re-sow them every year, except for hardy herbs. Rosemary, thyme, sage and fennel generally survive the winter just fine.

How many hours of sunshine?

Vegetables generally like to grow in full sun. A minimum of 6 hours of sun in summer is a good guide. For annual flowers this is more, there we stick to a minimum of 8 hours of sun per day.

What soil?

Vegetables can basically be grown on any type of soil, but it varies for each type of vegetable how nutritious that soil needs to be. You can find more information about this in the description.

Seediguide

Never seeded before? We'll get you started with a Sowing Guide explaining the basics and supplies.

Storing seeds

On the package of your seeds you will find the shelf life. You can use them until the date you see on it. An opened package is best stored in an airtight box in a cool and dark place, such as a closet in the hallway. Not sure if the germination is still good? Then it's best to buy a new pack. We deliberately choose small amounts of seeds in the packs so you don't have to waste seeds. Do you have any questions about this? Call 033 - 202 43 38 or email to [email protected], and we will help you further.
