We try to produce as sustainably as possible to keep our footprint small. Therefore, our letterbox boxes are made of grass paper and tomato leaf pulp is the basic component of the seed bags. The printing is either made of paper that is 30-70% recycled paper or paper that comes from agricultural waste. Native plants are native to our country. Plants from here can only be native if they have not been "played with," i.e., they must not have been grown on. Native planting is important for our biodiversity. Insects depend on them.
A nice native plant to put in your border or picking garden. The bright pink flowers provide nectar to the malva bee, among others, and is a host plant for the thistle butterfly. Birds love the seeds, including goldfinches and greenfinches flock to them.

Pre-sowing
Pre-sow in a sowing tray with very moist sowing and cutting soil. Cover seeds with a thin layer of vermiculite or seedling soil. Place in a cold place of maximum 16 degrees or in an unheated greenhouse. Germination takes about three weeks. Transplant seedlings to a P9 pot when they have more than 2 sets of leaves and allow to grow further. Transplant from mid-May with 50 cm spacing. If sown early, the plant will flower the same year, otherwise the following year.

All vegetable seeds are annuals, meaning you have to re-sow them every year, except for hardy herbs. Rosemary, thyme, sage and fennel generally survive the winter just fine.

Vegetables generally like to grow in full sun. A minimum of 6 hours of sun in summer is a good guide. For annual flowers this is more, there we stick to a minimum of 8 hours of sun per day.

Storing seeds
Storing seeds
On the package of your seeds you will find the shelf life. You can use them until the date you see on it. An opened package is best stored in an airtight box in a cool and dark place, such as a closet in the hallway. Not sure if the germination is still good? Then it's best to buy a new pack.
