We try to produce as sustainably as possible to keep our footprint small. Therefore, our letterbox boxes are made of grass paper and tomato leaf pulp is the basic component of the seed bags. Native plants are native to our country. Plants from here can only be native if they have not been "played with," i.e., they must not have been grown on. Native planting is important for our biodiversity. Insects depend on them.
Fluteswort in May heralds early summer. The waving umbels are characteristic of our landscape, and are important host plants for all kinds of butterflies. Sow a border near the driveway, in the (mini) orchard or mix it with other native species to sow a meadow with it.

Not suitable for pre-seeding. The plants make a long root that can be damaged during transplanting.
Direct sowing
Sow directly where the plants are to grow. Sow on top of soil that has been made fine with a rake. Cover the seed very lightly with fine soil. The seeds need a cold period to germinate well, so sowing in autumn is best. They are biennial plants: leaves are produced in the first year, flowers appear in the second year. Sow out. If you don't want that, you have to mow the plants (partially) after flowering.

All vegetable seeds are annuals, meaning you have to re-sow them every year, except for hardy herbs. Rosemary, thyme, sage and fennel generally survive the winter just fine.

Vegetables generally like to grow in full sun. A minimum of 6 hours of sun in summer is a good guide. For annual flowers this is more, there we stick to a minimum of 8 hours of sun per day.

Storing seeds
Storing seeds
On the package of your seeds you will find the shelf life. You can use them until the date you see on it. An opened package is best stored in an airtight box in a cool and dark place, such as a closet in the hallway. Not sure if the germination is still good? Then it's best to buy a new pack.
