Sustainability
Sustainability
We try to produce as sustainably as possible to keep our footprint small. Therefore, our letterbox boxes are made of grass paper and tomato leaf pulp is the basic component of the seed bags. The printing is either made of paper that is 30-70% recycled paper or paper that comes from agricultural waste. In addition, you have the option to plant a tree when you place an order through Regreener.

With this sexy Italian bean, you really have a stunner in your garden. The Kievits bean makes long red and white speckled pods that hide equally beautiful speckled beans. When you cook the beans they change color from red to brown. You can pick them to eat fresh right away, or you can dry them for later use.

Indoor pre-sowing
Pre-sowing can be done starting in April. Sow in P9 pots or a seed tray with large compartments. Sow 1 bean per compartment and cover with 2 - 3 cm of soil. Place in a warm place to germinate. Transplant to full ground after the last night frost. Provide a climbing structure of at least 2 meters with a stick every 25 cm. Plant 2 - 3 cuttings at each stick.
Direct sowing
Sowing in the open ground can be done between May and June. On well-loosened soil, sow 3 - 4 beans with each stick. Some will not germinate or will be eaten by mice. Sow in a warm week, at least above 18 degrees. Harvest when pods are nice and thick. Consume immediately or harvest only in September to October for drying.
About vegetable seeds
About vegetable seeds
All vegetable seeds are annuals, meaning you have to re-sow them every year, except for hardy herbs. Rosemary, thyme, sage and fennel generally survive the winter just fine.
How many hours of sunshine?
How many hours of sunshine?
Vegetables generally like to grow in full sun. A minimum of 6 hours of sun in summer is a good guide. For annual flowers this is more, there we stick to a minimum of 8 hours of sun per day.
What soil?
What soil?
Vegetables can basically be grown on any type of soil, but it varies for each type of vegetable how nutritious that soil needs to be. You can find more information about this in the description.

Storing seeds
Storing seeds
On the package of your seeds you will find the shelf life. You can use them until the date you see on it. An opened package is best stored in an airtight box in a cool and dark place, such as a closet in the hallway. Not sure if the germination is still good? Then it's best to buy a new pack. We deliberately choose small amounts of seeds in the packs so you don't have to waste seeds. Do you have any questions about this? Call 033 - 202 43 38 or email to [email protected], and we will help you further.
